Peppercorn Scratch Kitchen is a family-owned restaurant driven by passion and creativity.
Since opening our doors over five years ago, we’ve made it our mission to bring the freshest ingredients and scratch-made dishes to our community in Columbia TN and surrounding communities.

OK STOP!!! First off, - it was my first time eating here - my son suggested it. Next, I am a foodie and love to cook all type of ethnic foods so I can be someone's best or worst critic.
This Hidden Gem is outstanding! I was the first customer in, the place is spotless, and super homey with a modern twist.
Now, onto the food - I don't even know what to say right now LOL, it is extremely delicious. Let's start with the chips and salsa; the chips are made with beef tallow so they are very light (not like the other Mexican restaurants), crispy, and delicious - I mean hey, any type of animal fat makes food delicious, right? And the queso, I wanted to lick the dish! The smokey flavor of the yellow cheese, yes, yellow was phenomenal. Most Mex places have white queso, nope, not here!! They make it with a twist. I ordered the Poblano Bowl - 10/10!!!! The flavors gave a mouthful of explosion!! I did ask for very little rice and more lettuce - they nailed it!!
My son got dry and wet wings... forget the grocery store or BWW - THIS is the place to go for wings. And for dessert - you have to get the Strawberry/Banana pudding - you'll be back!!
Moving onto the service! Jason, owner, is the most personable owner I ever met in a restaurant. I've worked in that business so yes, I will say he is the friendliest to his customers. He listens to his customers and gives them suggestions, always asking if everything is ok or if you need anything - just super attentive. Isn't management important in a restaurant? Jason is an A+ guy!
Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get.
If you do not like it, time to get your taste buds checked.

Ur gonna be blown away with the first bite, told my momma we are coming here from now on it’s so good. I got a lil messy and it’s a lil spicey but in a good way, anyway it’s amazing especially the brisket and ranch you know u have to have that ranch with it and if u pair it with a Coke u won’t even care about the spice. Anyway 10/10 recommend yall go get yall some if u wanna experience some great flavors.

First off, check the photos: the chips and salsa didn't stand a chance. They were superb and vanished within minutes of hitting the table! 🕵️♂️
But the real highlight was Jason—he was a total blast to talk to! He walked us through the entire menu and broke down how easy it is: you pick what you want, and they build it for you.
Thanks to his help, we absolutely nailed the order. I grabbed the loaded potato with a side of brisket (incredible), and the missis got the Rango sandwich on potato bread. Everything was delicious. Great food, fun vibes, and top-tier service. We’ll be back! FYI we had to have extra salsa!!! That good.
And at the end we wot the banana strawberry pudding better than ice cream.

Drove up from Huntsville for a new experience and stumbled across this on Google Maps. Delicious. Well worth the trip!

We walked into the Restaurant and was greeted soon as we walked in. We haven’t been here before. We just stopped in on our way home to Corinth MS. They walked us through the menu and asked if we had any questions or anything more. The over all experience was nothing short of spectacular. The food was even better than that. We actually met with the Owner’s Him & His Wife was very kind to us and friendly as well.
Honestly We can’t wait until our next journey brings us back to this fine Dining Restaurant.

Tried Peppercorn 🌶️🌽 Scratch Kitchen for the first time and the food was awesome! 👏🏻
We got The Fantana Tacos 🐔🌮 and for sides we tried the Mexican Street Corn 🌽, Jalapeño Ranch 🫑, and Guacamole 🥑. Everything was fresh, and the flavors 😋 were incredibly good 🤯.

I just had an absolutely delicious meal. The chips were thin and crispy while the salsa was really good with just a bit of spiciness The sandwich is called Pepe Silvia. It had brisket with onions, peppers and cheese. I am not a huge brisket fan but this was probably the best I've ever had. They make it themselves and there is such a great smoky flavor....just yum!! I am hooked and look forward to coming back. Sweet Melissa helped me so much and we had a great talk.

The new owner is amazing. He remembers regulars and has genuine meaningful interactions, and is open to feedback on the menu items.
The smoked wings are the best I've had in Tennessee, you can't go wrong with either sauce. The brisket is next level. Portion sizing is great and the quality of ingredients seems very fresh and come through in the dishes.
There are lots of options in the area, but supporting a small business that cares about the community and the extremely friendly staff just keep bringing me back. I'm just slowly working my way down the menu on each visit.
Oh and margarita night is awesome!

Great food! The staff was super informative about the various options. The bowls were delicious! Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the chocolate chip cookie was drool worthy.

The was a little disappointing. The wife I had a burrito but the let down was that they used liquid smoke which killed the taste of the meat, there fries were their only saving grace. We were so upset. We will not be back.

We are in town for a family wedding and read the reviews for Peppercorn scratch and the reviews are spot on! Amazing food! Our party of 4 had 3 make ur own bowls and a burrito. All delish! Fresh, all made from scratch, including the chips! Get the smoked brisket, you won’t be disappointed!! We’re only here for a few days, but we’ll be back!

What a refreshing experience! Me and a buddy entered this small establishment and instantly the smoke hit our noses. We both ordered the dude burrito. I would have shared his pic but I'm way cooler and I got the fancy fries lol Everything was filled with flavor and fresh tasting. This is a gem for sure and I almost wanted to be selfish and not post this. Make this place a priority and reward these wonderful people for all of their hard work. Bravo Peppercorn!!!

I enjoyed this restaurant very much! The staff was very friendly, explaining the menu to us and answering our questions. The tacos I had were delicious and so were the Texas fries. The owner was extremely welcoming and we even got a free slice of delicious key lime pie delivered by him. I’d be happy to come back here!

Ordered a Diablo Bowl for a late lunch recently, and the quality was pretty decent. Suggested by this man zac since I mentioned I enjoyed spicier meals. He portioned my vegetables, cheese and sauce perfectly. Could’ve been a touch more meat, but he made up for it elsewhere. He also bagged my order to-go and made sure I had everything I needed while also conversing with my daughters and I. He’s a funny and friendly guy. Will definitely be back to order soon and see him.

Just had some of the best Tex-Mex I’ve had since living in TN! Peppercorn Scratch Kitchen in Columbia. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now based on the local’s raving about it and now I know why. Do not let the size of this place and the fast casual dining system throw you off…this place is the real deal 🤩
It was hard to choose from but I decided on “The Dude” burrito and it was fantastic.Everything here was so fresh and full of flavor, it rivaled higher end full service Mexican in the Nashville area. The chips and salsa were amazing right out of the gate. Rarely do I get a salsa that makes me perk up, but you can tell they really care anout their quality. Smoky chipolte and roasted tomatillo goodness.
The house made chips were light and not overly salty like some places. Everything is made in-house including the hand rolled tortillas, sauces and desserts. My Dude was with carntitas, smoked brisket, black beans and smothered with a delicious red chilie and queso sauce. The house Sanchez Rice was fluffy and full of flavor.
The hard working local owners, Jenny and Jason, were so kind, as well as the rest of the staff. Jenny checked in us as new customers and welcomed us to the neighborhood. All I can say is we can’t wait to go back and try some of the other menu items. Peppercorn will be in our rotation often and if you happen to be up this way, for sure worth a stop for a quick delicious Tex-Mex lunch or dinner.

I had heard of many great experiences about Peppercorn thru friends so I decided to check it out and all I can say is WOW! From the moment I walked in I was already impressed from the greetings of the staff and Jason the owner
to the very cozy atmosphere.
You can smell the smoky fragrance of the food!
The digital menu was very easy to select what items I wanted. I went with the Dude Burrito
Which had smoked Brisket and Pork! Yummy!!
The street corn was amazing and I had a hand crafted Peach Margarita to top it off!
Overall it was Awesome!
I would describe it as a cozy neighborhood fun place to eat. I will definitely be back!!

Wow! One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food was amazing. Very fresh tasting. I loved being able to build my own so I could pick and choose what I wanted. The cheesy rice, tacos and queso were highlights for me! The owners also made us feel so welcomed. They were so kind and were there to answer any questions we had about the menu. We will definitely be back! I’m telling all of my friends about this place.

Stopped into this place yesterday for a quick lunch. Had wings which were awesome...smoked with really tasty rub. Also had a Frank the Tank burrito which was really good and the side of Mexican Street Corn is one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. Met the new owner, Jay, super friendly guy who told me all about how everything is scratch made, which I guess makes sense if you're restaurant has "scratch" in the name !! The whole team was great, very friendly and quick in pulling together my order. Watched one of the kitchen staff cooking the street corn in a huge cast iron skillet...it is REALLY scratch made !!
Anyway...great place, great food, great people...I'll be back very soon. Maybe this weekend !!

So many fab choices. We had the Diablo Bowl with in-house smoked brisket that was mouth watering - added guacamole, grilled onions and onions and peppers. Evil Morty burrito was killer. Crisp perfect chips with a Flight Dip of Jalapeño Ranch, Diablo Sauce, Salsa and Chipotle Crema. Hand-made premium Grande Margarita and Strawberry Margaritas. Just heard they have an in-house pastry Chef. This is a small, great gem!!! Jason the owner, gives everyone a welcoming touch. As a special treat, we received a sample of Tres Leche - mouth explosion of flavors!!!

This is a hidden gem! If you are looking for fresh food with amazing flavor served by a knowledgeable and friendly staff, you need to make this a regular eatery. Gary and staff take great pride in incorporating the freshest of ingredients into their menu. If you want to substitute ingredients, no problem as you can customize your individual order. Your meal is served with homemade chips and cucumber salsa. Don’t be in a hurry as your meal is freshly prepared. And don’t forget to save room for the delicious tres leches!

This was the best meal we have had in awhile. Everything tasted amazing and the service was great. The owners are the sweetest people. I highly recommend getting the smoked wings, tacos, and Tres Leches for dessert. We can't wait to come back again!

We’ve been coming to Peppercorn since 2023, and we absolutely love it! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care—we haven’t ordered anything we didn’t like. Went to Peppercorn scratch Kitchen yesterday for the first time. I got one of their bowls with chicken and a side of queso and chips. Everything was delicious, all employees were super friendly and checked on me and my food. Bathroom was super clean too. I hear they are getting Margs soon so can’t wait to come back and check it out.

Thank you Lord Jesus! When I moved to Nashville, I thought most of the top BBQ places would taste like Peppercorn. See my face when I got food at some of these established restaurants and their BBQ was trash! Peppercorn actually seasoned the meat. It wasn't smoked meat with sweet BBQ sauce slathered across the pieces. There was natural juices, moist, seasoned bark, it was tender, and DEFREAKINGLICIOUS! The salsa flight was good and went well with the fresh salted chips. The fries are hand cut and yummy! They call it banana pudding, I say it's banana Mousse, regardless; it's so good. That's a high compliment, do not like cold/non-baked banana pudding but I thoroughly enjoyed the palate cleanser we received. My friend and I enjoyed all the food and it's worth the drive from Nashville to Spring Hill for the yumminess!! I am going back this weekend too! I am going to be come a regular, chef. The owner midas well learn my name! Go order today!

Day after Christmas, right at opening. My wife and I ordered a burrito each, chips and queso. The food was amazing! Very flavorful, diablo sauce was spicy, queso was good. I wish I'd tried the guacamole. The service was super friendly and attentive. Burrito was big enough to eat half and take half home for later - so for $14 for 2 meals for me, not bad. Modern atmosphere with 90s music overhead. I can't believe we've driven past this place so many times - we will definitely be back!

I came for lunch and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was cute and quaint. The service was fast and efficient. You place your order at a kiosk and the staff makes and delivers your food. The food is amazing. It tastes delicious and freshly made. I had a taco and a burrito with chips and guacamole as a side, and everything was exceptional. Even the chips and tortillas taste as if they were freshly made. Oh, and try the pineapple cream soda for a refreshing treat. I would definitely recommend this place.
